Automotive Technician (Automotive/Telematics)

Location: Remote - Indonesia; frequent international travel required, up to 60% of the time, with a valid passport.

What you will do

• Provide technical support to customers, resellers, installation partners, and internal teams across telematics and field services.
• Support new product design by analyzing user requirements, defining specifications, and conducting field and simulation testing.
• Conduct site visits, pilot projects, live installations, installation audits, and installer performance evaluations.
• Create and maintain installer certification tests, technical documentation, wiring schematics, product guides, and installation training materials.
• Produce installation photo and video content with the Learning & Development team.
• Source and qualify installation partners, resolve installer issues, support invoicing and ticketing, and improve installation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a post-secondary diploma or degree, or equivalent experience; electronics or industrial management specialization is valued.
• 3–5 years of experience as an installation field service specialist in telematics, automotive, or a related field.
• Experience with OBD and CAN communications, SAE vehicle standards, serial data interfaces, and automotive electronics.
• Experience with hardware and software integration, database systems, and data-set analysis.
• Knowledge of communications systems and networks, including cellular, GPS, and serial data.
• Ability to manage third-party contractor relationships, build customer rapport, use technical software and Google Workspace, and travel internationally up to 60% of the time.
