Field Service Engineer (Automotive)

Location: United Kingdom; fully remote, field-based work across UK regions including Scotland, North, Northwest, Midlands, South, Southeast, and Southwest.

What you will do

• Carry out service and maintenance activities for enterprise customers.
• Install, service, and maintain vehicle CCTV, blind spot detection, vehicle safety, fleet tracking, and telematics systems.
• Manage van stock holdings and support auditing and quality-control processes.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide clear, professional communication.
• Work independently in the field while contributing effectively to the wider engineering and operations team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in automotive electrical testing and installation.
• Experience with automotive 12VDC and 24VDC systems.
• HGV/LCV experience and a genuine interest in working with vehicles.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Customer-facing experience, strong problem-solving and organisational skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle CCTV and telematics systems.
• Familiarity with fleet management technologies and vehicle connectivity solutions.
• Previous field-based engineering experience.
