Calibration and Diagnostics Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Perform vehicle diagnostics and support development testing activities.
• Flash calibrations and DCMs using ETAS INCA or equivalent tools.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using structured problem-solving methods.
• Support powertrain validation and alignment with development targets.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience, with 3–6 years in an automotive development environment.
• Experience with vehicle or powertrain development and automotive engineering processes and standards.
• Proficiency with ETAS INCA or equivalent calibration flashing tools.
• Strong issue-resolution, structured problem-solving, communication, and customer-focus skills.
• Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent military experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points; candidates must be clearable and may need to obtain security clearance.

Nice to have

• Understanding of powertrain certification, test environments, and homologation requirements.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, or Concerto for data analysis.
• Knowledge of FMEA, FMA, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
