Salary: $109,500–$208,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead research and automation initiatives expanding high-throughput organic synthesis capabilities.
• Design, implement, and maintain laboratory automation systems to increase experimental throughput.
• Write scripts for Tecan, Hamilton, ChemSpeed, and other liquid-handling platforms.
• Develop and implement experimental protocols and techniques for automated drug discovery.
• Interpret experimental results, draw conclusions, and design iterative follow-up experiments.
• Collaborate across functions, identify project challenges, and integrate scientific and technological advances into research programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in organic chemistry or a related field with typically 12 years of experience, master’s degree with typically 10 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• Background in chemistry, chemical engineering, or automation engineering.
• Experience with laboratory automation and medium- to high-throughput experimentation.
• Experience with machine learning and data science techniques, including designing experiments to build and validate AI/ML tools.
• Scientific initiative, creativity, technical problem-solving, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience contributing to technical reports and publications.
