Salary: $182,000–$346,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a global computational chemistry team of 10–12 scientists and provide matrixed leadership across Synthetic Molecules CMC and Development Sciences.
• Shape strategy for computational sciences and AI-enabled drug discovery and development across synthetic modalities.
• Manage project intake, capacity planning, scopes, timelines, and decision points for small-molecule discovery programs.
• Guide the development and deployment of computational models using quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics, machine learning, and physics-informed AI/ML.
• Partner with Discovery Research, Development Sciences, Information Research, medicinal chemistry, data science, materials science, formulation, and engineering teams.
• Build and oversee external research collaborations with academic and technology partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with typically 18+ years of related experience, master’s degree with typically 16+ years, or PhD with typically 12+ years, including management experience leading scientific research teams.
• Significant experience in people, technical, and scientific project management.
• High-impact scientific achievements and a strong publication record.
• Expertise in state-of-the-art computational methodologies, technology platforms, and workflows supporting drug discovery and development.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
