Salary: $124,500–$236,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead research and project activities for process development and commercialization of APIs, antibody-drug conjugates, peptides, and natural products.
• Assess chemical reactions, crystallizations, and other unit operations for robustness, scientific understanding, and scale-up risks.
• Design, implement, and optimize processes using chemical kinetics, transport phenomena, thermodynamics, and mathematical modeling.
• Serve as a principal investigator, generate original technical strategies, and lead scientific proposals.
• Collaborate with technical, quality, regulatory, and onsite manufacturing functions.
• Mentor and supervise scientists, evaluate performance, and contribute to publications, regulatory documents, presentations, and patents.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in chemical engineering or a related field.
• At least 14 years of relevant industrial experience with a BS, 12 years with an MS, or 6 years with a PhD.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of the relevant scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a principal investigator and develop original research or development strategies.
• Recognized expertise in the discipline, with experience authoring publications, presentations, regulatory documents, or patents.
• Excellent written, oral, scientific communication, and presentation skills.
