Senior Scientist II, Biologics Drug Product Development (Biologics)

Salary: $109,500–$208,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead biologics drug product formulation, process development, characterization, and robustness studies.
• Support scale-up and technology transfer to internal and external manufacturing sites.
• Develop and improve scientific capabilities, platforms, and business processes.
• Communicate development plans, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and line management.
• Represent Biologics Drug Product Development in cross-functional product presentation, device strategy, and CMC teams.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience and a proven ability to solve critical scientific problems.
• Experience developing drug products for biologics, sterile parenteral products, or genetic medicines such as AAV, LNPs, or cell therapy.
• Hands-on experience with sterile manufacturing operations, including freeze-thaw, compounding, mixing, filtration, filling, and lyophilization.
• Experience with characterization, scale-down modeling, simulation, scale-up, technology transfer, batch record authoring, and regulatory filings.
• Experience leading drug product development as a functional lead within cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Biologics drug product formulation development experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory guidance for biologics and sterile parenteral products.
• Experience managing third-party sterile parenteral manufacturers.
• Experience with quality risk management and control strategies.
