Field Technician (Geotechnical Engineering)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; primarily outdoor field work with occasional office work

Salary: Starting at $20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform quality control reviews and testing for construction projects.
• Observe, test, and sample soils, concrete masonry, and steel construction.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, shop drawings, product data, and RFIs.
• Complete field reports, safety analyses, field notes, datasheets, monitoring records, and chain-of-custody forms.
• Maintain testing equipment and records, and perform additional laboratory testing of soils and concrete.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience collecting soil, concrete, groundwater, or other construction material samples.
• At least one year of construction experience.
• Ability to work primarily outdoors and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally, sometimes over substantial distances.
• Valid driver's license.
