Snowflake Administrator (Data Platform Engineer)

Location: Hybrid work in Wrocław, Gdańsk, Kraków, Poznań, or Warszawa, Poland; office and home working after onboarding

What you will do

• Administer and support enterprise-scale Snowflake environments, including accounts, databases, virtual warehouses, data sharing, and Marketplace integrations.
• Manage users, roles, permissions, and security policies based on RBAC principles.
• Monitor platform performance, resource utilization, and consumption to improve reliability and cost efficiency.
• Support automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and data governance initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve connectivity, security, performance, and platform issues.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data product development in collaboration with Data Engineers, Architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience administering Snowflake in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake security, RBAC, performance optimization, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data environments.
• Experience with automation and scripting, preferably Python.
• Understanding of modern data engineering concepts, cloud data platforms, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Knowledge of Snowpipe, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpark, dbt, and other modern Snowflake capabilities.
