Director, Gen AI - Digital Health

Location: 665 Clyde Avenue, Mountain View, California, USA. The position will be performed in an office setting.

Base pay range: $235,400–$365,650 USD per year, with annual bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a globally distributed Gen AI for Health team and define its technical and product vision.
• Develop innovative Gen AI health product concepts using data from wearables, smartphones, home health devices, and EMR/EHR systems.
• Guide research excellence in Gen AI and LLMs, including product methods, intellectual property, and scientific publications.
• Build a robust product pipeline and drive projects through launch and commercialization milestones.
• Expand team capabilities in Gen AI and software development while establishing modern software development processes.
• Provide hands-on coaching, mentorship, and technical and product development guidance.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or master's degree in a technical or health field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 14+ years of experience at the intersection of AI and digital health, including a track record of launching innovative products.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams and mentoring managers.
• Strong technical depth in Gen AI and LLMs, including RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RLHF, human evaluation, red teaming, safety, and constitutional factors.
• Experience with digital health, wearables, smartphones, apps, clinical health data, healthcare delivery, wellness data, human factors, and behavioral science.
• Familiarity with health data privacy policies such as HIPAA.

• Recognition of research and technical contributions, including publications in relevant journals and conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV, or ACL.
