Distribution Area Manager - 1st Shift (8am - 5:30pm)

Location: Onsite in Romeoville, Illinois, United States; the conditions also reference Wood Dale, Illinois, United States.

Salary: $99,000–$110,000 USD per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Supervise approximately 30 distribution associates during the first shift.
• Lead safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost performance using Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Track adherence to standard work and identify improvement opportunities.
• Create data-driven action plans to improve operational performance.
• Coordinate with order management to align labor and materials with daily and weekly build/ship plans.
• Coach, train, evaluate, and develop associates while partnering with HR on performance and staffing matters.

Requirements

• Availability to work the first shift from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• At least one year of direct management experience; a BA/BS degree is a plus.
• Effective communication with senior leaders and associates.
• Scheduling, planning, project management, and time management skills.
• Data-driven problem solving and reporting skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, inventory management, and basic financial concepts.
