Associate Formulations Scientist (HPLC)

Location: San Diego, California, USA; commutable distance to La Jolla, California is recommended. Onsite schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with occasional overtime.

Salary: USD 52,000–56,000 per year. An additional compensation range of USD 52,000–58,000 is also stated.

Provides contract laboratory testing, research, and insourcing services for environmental, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical clients.

What you will do

• Conduct quantitative analytical HPLC testing and routine laboratory experiments.
• Perform DSC, PXRD spectroscopy, solubility determinations, dissolution testing, and suspension processing.
• Execute laboratory procedures in a timely, productive, and consistent manner.
• Recognize relevant technical issues and escalate them appropriately.
• Maintain accurate, high-quality laboratory output while working independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of quantitative analytical HPLC experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to follow procedures consistently, work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing requirements.
