Head of Toolshop and Moulding Engineering (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Lead and integrate toolshop and moulding engineering operations, including capacity expansion, asset replacement, and new product introduction.
• Drive advanced manufacturing technologies, precision engineering practices, and innovative tooling solutions.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of managers, engineers, technicians, machinists, and toolmakers.
• Partner with Production to deliver against time, cost, quality, and output targets.
• Evaluate and lead capital investments in equipment, automation, and manufacturing systems.
• Oversee process validation, production trials, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and spare parts readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or equivalent Engineering, or extensive hands-on leadership experience in high-precision tooling and injection moulding.
• 15+ years of experience, preferably in medical devices or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Expertise in plastic injection moulding, tooling, and equipment validation.
• Strong leadership, project management, stakeholder management, commercial, and operational skills.
• Knowledge of risk management, CAPA, workplace safety, GMP, FDA, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and cleanroom manufacturing.
• Experience with high-technology automation and high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
