What you will do

• Lead internally and externally funded design and development programs.
• Develop additive manufacturing methods for valve components and assemblies.
• Evaluate additive technologies, recommend equipment, oversee installations, and support machine operation.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D layouts, assembly drawings, and detail drawings.
• Perform design analysis, calculations, qualification testing, and process standardization.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, welding, quality, and project engineering groups and oversee supplier activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or another engineering discipline.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are required.
• At least two years of 2D and 3D CAD experience.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies, computer-controlled machine tools, welding processes, and engineering analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including NAVSEA 250-1500-1, ASME B&PV Code, SDB-63/VDM-71, Y14.5, B16.5, B16.34, B18.3, and B31.1, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Mathcad, LabVIEW, NX, Teamcenter, and manufacturing equipment software.
