Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

  • Track, perform, subcontract, and schedule calibration, verification, and adjustment of laboratory instruments and test equipment.
  • Create and validate calibration procedures, including measurement uncertainty calculations, datasheets, and documentation.
  • Maintain calibration records and quality-system documentation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and IMR requirements.
  • Support quality-system maintenance across laboratory operations, including procedure writing, editing, training, and deadline tracking.
  • Lead root-cause and countermeasure investigations and help resolve quality issues with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Participate in or lead internal, customer, and compliance audits.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of laboratory testing experience in an independent lab, captive lab, manufacturing, or academic environment.
  • Mechanical testing experience is preferred; strong mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience assisting with or participating in audits.
  • Strong Excel, technical writing, organization, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage individual work, support others, track documentation, and meet multiple deadlines; some travel may be required.
