Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; availability to travel up to 30–40% for strategic on-site customer engagements and architecture workshops.

Base salary: $127,000–$145,000 per year across the US. Actual pay depends on work location, skills, qualifications, experience, and education or training.

What you will do

• Embed with strategic enterprise customers to lead technical implementation, integration, adoption, and platform stability.
• Perform system health checks, configuration tune-ups, and architectural optimizations for at-risk accounts and upcoming renewals.
• Monitor system performance, API error rates, and usage telemetry to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks proactively.
• Translate technical milestones and system outputs into business-value narratives and data for Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Provide technical training, train-the-trainer sessions, documentation, and best practices for customer engineering and operations teams.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, escalate complex technical issues, and route customer feedback into product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer information systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in highly technical, customer-facing roles such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Implementation Engineering.
• Deep expertise in enterprise software architecture, API integrations, cloud infrastructure, and complex data workflows.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with engineering teams and C-level executives.
• Experience navigating complex IT environments and driving enterprise software adoption.
• Skills in prompting AI systems, assessing output quality, and using AI to develop and scale departmental solutions.
