Principal Solutions Engineer (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, with other U.S. locations listed; hybrid or fully remote work schedule available.

Salary: $163,200–$220,800 per year in Palo Alto, New York, and San Francisco; $147,050–$198,950 per year in other listed locations.

What you will do

• Design and implement integrations across SaaS, PaaS, on-premises, and cloud platforms.
• Define end-to-end architectures, integration patterns, data contracts, APIs, data models, and non-functional requirements.
• Lead solution delivery, guide developers and data engineers, and remove implementation blockers.
• Build business intelligence dashboards, trend reports, and data pipelines for business development and marketing.
• Drive testing, user acceptance, cutover, change management, adoption, runbooks, and operational knowledge transfer.
• Lead responsible AI initiatives, including governed RAG use cases, privacy controls, auditability, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.
• 8–12+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture or solution design, including 4+ years leading cross-functional delivery.
• Experience delivering complex integrated solutions in a law firm or adjacent professional-services environment.
• Strong knowledge of legal business processes, CRM and legal systems, marketing automation, data management, and business intelligence.
• Experience with APIs, SQL, ETL/ELT, Azure, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Salesforce, data modeling, CI/CD, Terraform, and security controls.
• Strong stakeholder communication, analytical skills, and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise search, legal search platforms, knowledge graphs, ontology design, and RAG/AI augmentation.
• TOGAF, PMP, CSM, Azure, Power Platform, NetDocuments, or iManage certifications and experience.
