Product Manager / Business Analyst (C5ISR Mission Solutions)

Location: Onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 119,500–159,300 annually, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Manage the commercial and product lifecycle success of embedded product lines from market research and business case development through launch, growth, sustaining activities, and sunset.
• Develop product, market, pricing, profit, forecasting, and roadmap strategies to grow market share, revenue, design wins, and return on investment.
• Work with engineering, CTO, marketing, sales, customers, and partners to define differentiated solutions, feature sets, technical specifications, and cost targets.
• Provide engineering with product-level requirements and support technical development to ensure products meet identified market needs.
• Monitor product-line health through sales forecasts, design-win reviews, margin analysis, pricing adjustments, and component-obsolescence decisions.
• Support customer proposals, presales technical engagements, product introductions, presentations, white papers, promotional content, and collaborative business-capture activities.

Requirements

• Relevant hardware or software engineering degree, or equivalent experience, together with a relevant business degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in product management, engineering management, or deeply technical product marketing.
• Experience understanding target-market needs, identifying business opportunities, and creating differentiated products.
• Knowledge of embedded computing systems architecture, hardware, software, system-level requirements, and support needs in aerospace and defense markets.
• Understanding of embedded processors, including Intel, Arm, GPU, and integrated SoC technologies, plus Ethernet switching and routing.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and Microsoft Office skills; willingness to travel periodically for customers, sales, business development, and industry events.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aerospace and defense electronics standards and considerations, including MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, and DO-160.
• Experience with functional safety or airborne safety standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178, DO-254, and AC/AMC 20-152A.
