What you will do

  • Review and assess complex medical and treatment requests for physical and psychological injuries.
  • Provide clinical guidance on allied health services, treatment plans, surgery requests, and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Coach and educate Claims Officers on injury management best practices.
  • Collaborate with treating practitioners, Medical Advisors, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Apply a biopsychosocial approach to align treatment recommendations with functional recovery goals.
  • Support compliance with WorkSafe legislation, clinical guidelines, and industry best practice while contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Allied Health, such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Nursing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury management, workers' compensation, personal injury, or return-to-work environments.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to interpret medical information and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for supporting functional recovery and sustainable outcomes for injured workers.
