Medical Director (Medical Assistance)

Location: Hybrid (Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, or Brisbane). Must be legally authorized to work in Australia.

What you will do

• Support the CMO in delivering clinical services, including direct involvement in case management and decision-making for global operations.
• Provide medical input for insurance product design and review individual cases for compliance and medical necessity.
• Manage remote patient assessments, evacuations, repatriations, and commercial transfers globally.
• Coordinate with patients, treating physicians, and suppliers to ensure safe and timely patient transfers.
• Participate in the enterprise-wide clinical quality improvement program and perform root cause analysis of incidents.
• Review and advise on the operational capability of medical networks and suppliers.

Requirements

• Medical degree and active license.
• Specialty background in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, or Aviation Medicine.
• Proven experience in complex case management and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Legally authorized to work in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available).
• Ability to participate in a one-in-four weekend on-call rotation.

• Experience with insurance medicine, utilization review, or medical assistance.
