Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Cheswick, Pennsylvania, United States. Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.

Salary: $99,000–$143,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and analyze electro-mechanical components and systems for pumps, motors, and generators, focusing on electrical insulation systems.
• Lead studies, experiments, and testing for new and modified rotating machine designs and insulation processes.
• Evaluate insulation systems using partial discharge, voltage endurance, and thermal endurance testing.
• Investigate complex insulation issues, assess designs, and predict insulation performance and service life.
• Advise technical and design teams, collaborate with shop personnel on production issues, and coordinate engineering solutions.
• Prepare task schedules and produce technical documentation, reports, publications, and presentations.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience involving rotating equipment and insulation systems.
• Experience with electrostatic, electromagnetic finite element, or thermal analysis, and motor design tools such as QuickField, Flux2D, Simulink, Mathcad, or MATLAB.
• Experience creating models and drawings, conducting design reviews, presenting technical data, and applying IEEE, international, and military specifications.
