Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania; New York, New York; or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Employees are expected to work in the office five days a week.

Salary: $170,000–$225,000 per year, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Own reliability, deployments, observability, incident response, and networking across AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Maintain and scale infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu, while improving infrastructure standards and reducing vendor lock-in.
• Improve and consolidate CI/CD pipelines supporting TypeScript/Node, Python, and Kotlin services.
• Build internal AI infrastructure, including gateway and middleware layers, MCP integrations, knowledge graphs, and developer tooling.
• Implement and operate SOC 2 and PCI-DSS controls, partnering with security on network segmentation, traffic inspection, and remediation.
• Participate in on-call support and improve the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the platform as the company scales.

Requirements

• Senior-level DevOps/SRE experience combined with a genuine backend software engineering background.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience with production observability or monitoring, CI/CD, compute, and networking.
• Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
• Experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Experience building infrastructure from scratch at an early-stage startup or scaling infrastructure during a period of rapid growth.
• Willingness to take hands-on ownership of SOC 2 and PCI-DSS compliance work and participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI or LLM tooling, MCP, model gateways, or internal AI developer platforms.
• Prior SOC 2 or PCI-DSS remediation experience and exposure to security engineering.
• AWS CDK experience, especially with TypeScript.
• Experience reducing vendor lock-in or migrating data stores at scale.
