Site Reliability Engineer (AI)

Location: In person in Flatiron, New York City, 5 days a week

Salary: $100,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Architect, build, and operate reliable, scalable, and secure production infrastructure.
• Own cloud compute, storage, and networking while optimizing availability, performance, and cost.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and operational automation.
• Lead incident response, on-call rotations, postmortems, and root-cause analysis.
• Automate capacity planning, safe rollouts, graceful degradation, and data access controls.
• Partner with product and engineering teams and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production infrastructure at scale.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and security principles.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, containerization, and modern infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and observability or incident-management tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, BetterStack, or PagerDuty.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and take ownership end to end.
