Software Engineer I, QA (New Grad)

Location: Onsite at the Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California location, with travel to other sites as needed.

Base salary: $70,000 in Denver or $80,000 in Long Beach per year.

What you will do

• Execute manual and automated test cases against full-stack software.
• Document and report software defects in Jira.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
• Maintain manual and automated test scripts in the Playwright test repository.
• Contribute to QA standards and testing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education.
• 0–2 years of software QA or testing experience, including internships.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and Agile processes.
• Basic understanding of coding languages, preferably JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Jira and Git, plus strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience with API tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
