Senior Data Engineer - ETL Development

Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island; day-one onsite hybrid. The posting also references Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Salary: $80,420–$106,050 per year, with potential additional variable compensation, bonus, or commission.

What you will do

• Assess complex Informatica workflows and existing data-processing frameworks.
• Design and develop scalable ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Lead migration from legacy ETL platforms to modern Python-based solutions.
• Develop and optimize batch-processing solutions with Java Spring Batch.
• Perform data profiling, impact assessments, and workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and application teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Informatica, Python ETL, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Java Spring Batch and AWS-based data solutions.
• Understanding of data integration, workflow orchestration, and batch processing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Financial services domain experience.
• Experience with large-scale data migration and modernization programs.
