Senior Director, Global Procurement & Supplier Management, Asia (MedTech)

Location: Malaysia; office-based with hybrid work at the Malaysia site

What you will do

• Lead regional teams across China and Southeast Asia covering project engineering, site supplier engineering, direct procurement, and indirect procurement.
• Translate global category strategies into executable regional plans and drive supplier consolidation, partnership models, and contract renegotiation.
• Oversee supplier execution across tooling, molding, stamping, springs, automation, and other engineered component categories.
• Lead supplier development using Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and corrective action frameworks.
• Drive supply-chain resilience through risk identification, continuity planning, capacity readiness, and supplier capability development.
• Govern project costs, tooling budgets, supplier financial health, KPIs, dashboards, and senior-level execution reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; an MBA or advanced business degree is preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, in written and verbal communication, is required.
• 15+ years of experience in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Procurement, or Supply Management.
• Experience leading large technical or procurement teams and delivering technical project execution and supplier development results.
• Deep exposure to the China supplier network and strong knowledge of major Asia manufacturing hubs.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites and corporate headquarters as needed.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced business degree.
• Experience across the full supply-chain lifecycle.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Smartsheet, MS Project, SAP, and Microsoft tools.
• Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement experience.
