Lead Trainer (Medical Device Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Deliver hands-on training to manufacturing employees on current and revised procedures.
• Schedule on-the-job training, coordinate cross-training, and manage certification timelines with process engineering.
• Assess operator competency and ensure minimum requirements are met before certification.
• Maintain training records, employee progress data, and transcript records in Workday.
• Analyze training gaps, operational issues, and bottlenecks, coordinating improvements across production and support functions.
• Plan and monitor Operator Trainer deployment across production lines to balance workload and operational needs.

Requirements

• Diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in medical device manufacturing or a cGMP-regulated industry.
• Experience delivering training, executing OJT, assessing competency, and managing certification processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, and present training material to individuals and groups.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience in a clean room environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing instruments such as video microscopes, micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, and dial indicators.
• Knowledge of automated machines, production processes, raw materials, quality control, and root cause analysis.
