Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: On site in Austin, Texas, United States

Salary: $155,000–$200,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead advanced analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and data science solutions from concept through production.
• Lead and develop a team of AI and data science professionals through mentorship, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Define AI roadmaps and partner with business, product, engineering, risk, and operations teams.
• Establish scalable practices for responsible AI, governance, MLOps, model monitoring, and enterprise deployment.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and influence enterprise AI strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, or advanced analytics.
• 3+ years as a technical subject matter expert providing mentorship, code reviews, and AI/ML best-practice guidance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying machine learning or AI solutions in production.
• Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, natural language processing, or generative AI.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern AI/ML frameworks and tools, plus strong stakeholder and project leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a related technical or quantitative field.
• Experience with generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic AI, or NLP solutions.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with product strategy, MLOps, model governance, responsible AI, or financial services.
