Data Science Fellow (Healthcare)

Salary: $51,900–$87,900 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Work with internal data science teams on assigned healthcare projects.
• Develop machine learning models, data science approaches, and data management solutions to improve understanding and prediction of healthcare outcomes.
• Conduct self-directed research into healthcare data topics.
• Collaborate with hirify.global staff, executives, clients, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
• Participate in client-facing meetings, voice-of-customer activities, and cross-functional assignments.
• Present a capstone project or project summary to peers and mentors at the end of the one-year fellowship.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, medical or health informatics, or a related field is preferred.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, or SAS and SQL database design.
• Strong quantitative skills for data analysis and machine learning model development, including statistics, Bayesian inference, mathematics, or computer science.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with generative AI models, large language models, agentic workflows, or related frameworks.
• Understanding of machine learning operations.
• Experience with healthcare data, including EHR/EMR data and medical terminologies.
