Scientist II, In-Vitro & Nonclinical Assay Development (Biotechnology)

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and execute cell-based and biochemical in vitro assays for drug discovery and preclinical development.
• Perform DMPK/ADME studies, including permeability, protein binding, metabolic and CYP-related assays, cytotoxicity, and screening assays.
• Develop and evaluate 3D cell culture, spheroid, and organoid-based assay systems for translational and nonclinical research.
• Support nonclinical models evaluating therapeutic efficacy, pharmacology, safety, and mechanism of action.
• Design experiments, troubleshoot assays, analyze quantitative data, and document results in technical reports and laboratory records.
• Collaborate with internal scientists and external partners or CROs, preparing protocols, presentations, data summaries, and regulatory or development documentation.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life sciences discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an M.S. with 4+ years of relevant research experience.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and in vitro assay development.
• Experience designing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and interpreting cell-based, biochemical, or translational assays.
• Proficiency with molecular and biochemical techniques such as RT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, microscopy, luminescence-based assays, and viability-based readouts.
• Experience generating reproducible experimental data and communicating results to multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DMPK/ADME assay concepts and laboratory methods.
• Experience with 3D culture systems, spheroids, organoids, or other advanced in vitro models.
• Experience supporting nonclinical or preclinical drug development studies.
