Research Associate II, Upstream Antibody Discovery (Biotech)

Location: USA - Quincy, Massachusetts; lab-based onsite role

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 USD per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Generate, culture, scale up, cryopreserve, and produce antibodies from hybridoma cell lines.
• Perform mammalian cell culture using excellent aseptic technique.
• Conduct transient mammalian-cell transfections for recombinant antibody and antigen expression at multiple scales.
• Prepare media and buffers and support laboratory workflows.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables while coordinating with project managers and cross-functional laboratory teams.
• Troubleshoot scientific processes and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Ability to troubleshoot scientific processes independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Prior laboratory experience, especially in an industry setting.
• Knowledge of antibody discovery processes and hybridoma-based workflows.
