Senior Director, AP Spanish Language and Spanish Literature Assessment Generalist, Curriculum and Assessment (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; candidates near hirify.global offices may choose hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Authorization and eligibility to work in the United States are required. Travel is required 6–8 times per year, plus up to two additional weeks for AP Reading.

Salary: $112,000–$165,000 per year, adjusted based on location, experience, qualifications, and market data.

What you will do

• Lead assessment development and final approval of items, forms, scoring materials, and publications for AP Spanish Language and Spanish Literature.
• Author, revise, review, and manage formative and summative assessment content through iterative collaboration with internal teams and external educators.
• Lead test development committee meetings, train committee members, and manage content contributions and reviews.
• Plan and lead annual AP Reading activities, including scoring workflows, reader reliability, and post-scoring publications.
• Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and cut-score development in collaboration with psychometricians.
• Refine course frameworks and collaborate on new instructional products and resources for teachers worldwide.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, or a directly related discipline; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
• Native-to-near-native fluency in Spanish is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work, with expertise in Spanish Language or Spanish Literature.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, planning, proofreading, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience implementing processes, managing project plans and schedules, maintaining documentation, and applying digital tools.
• Must be authorized and eligible to work in the United States and able to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, or a related discipline.
• Experience with digital assessment and teaching.
