Application Analyst (Retail Software)

Location: Remote; corporate general office location in Calabasas, California, United States. Periodic after-hours and weekend support is required.

Salary: $69,500–$104,200 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Configure, administer, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize assigned retail software applications.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and support new applications and application modules.
• Plan application releases, coordinate schedules, support release test plans, and resolve release-level issues.
• Support application development, testing, deployment, dry runs, go-live execution, and production operations.
• Collaborate with IT business analysts, application leads, vendors, QA, and other IT teams to evaluate solutions and mitigate risks.
• Identify improvements to release governance, application processes, and supported operational workflows.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of IT experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent research skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Availability for weekends and periodic after-hours production support.
• Knowledge of technology trends; a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Retail or help desk experience.
• Experience supporting retail stores, POS software, Aptos POS, or Java web applications.
• Knowledge of POS software and hardware trends.
• Experience supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle.
