Location: United States; distributed workforce across Bozeman and Missoula, Montana, Austin, Denver, Kalispell, Minneapolis, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. Regular in-person work at corporate offices or strategic locations may be required.
Salary: $130,000–$153,000 per year, plus eligible equity and a 10% annual performance bonus.

What you will do
- Design and build engaging Android application experiences for the Hunt product.
- Integrate mobile features cleanly with services in collaboration with engineers and product managers.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and write unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
- Review code and improve reliability, performance, maintainability, and delivery across the team.
- Design, build, and analyze A/B experiments using a hypothesis-driven, metrics-oriented approach.
- Explore and validate repeatable uses of AI as a copilot in daily engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least four years of professional software development experience, including at least two years focused on Android development with Kotlin and/or Java.
- Experience writing maintainable, well-tested code and evaluating technologies for stability, performance, merit, and debuggability.
- Experience with continuous integration, architectural decision-making, code review, and automated testing.
- Ownership mindset, mentoring ability, customer advocacy, curiosity about new technologies including AI, and comfort using data to guide iteration.
- Permanent US work authorization is required, and occasional multi-day travel to a corporate office or strategic location may be required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with experimentation and analytics tools such as Split, Eppo, or client event instrumentation.
- Experience with asynchronous programming using Flows and Coroutines.
- Knowledge of modern Android libraries such as Jetpack Compose.
- Experience balancing delivery speed and quality and working effectively with distributed teams.
