Lead Software Engineer (C++)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Annual salary: $114,800–$213,200, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop a multi-threaded and distributed physical synthesis core engine.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for physical synthesis.
• Work with product engineers and technical sales to provide engineering solutions and customer workarounds.
• Collaborate with a global R&D team to support product development and customer success.

Requirements

• Strong C/C++ software development experience in a Linux environment.
• Extensive knowledge and practical use of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong interest in working with customers.
• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; a Ph.D. track is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of physical synthesis algorithms, timing analysis, and multithreading.
• R&D experience with IC physical design tools and physical design flows.
• Hands-on experience using physical design tools for design closure.
• Experience with Tcl and other scripting languages.
