Director of Fleet Operations Execution (AI Automotive)

Location: London, United Kingdom; based in or willing to relocate to London, with in-person attendance expected the large majority of the time

What you will do

• Lead and develop the regional Heads of Fleet Operations across a global organization of more than 300 people.
• Act as the senior decision-maker for on-road risk and high-stakes safety-critical situations.
• Own global incident-response execution for high-severity events and lead the escalation chain.
• Set global operating standards, KPIs, and performance metrics, holding regional leaders accountable.
• Partner with Safety, Technical Operations, and engineering teams to operationalize feature and milestone testing.
• Identify operational risks and gaps across regions, programs, and platforms, driving reviews and corrective action.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading global, multi-site organizations of 100 or more people through multiple management layers.
• Experience managing managers and holding leaders accountable for performance standards and KPIs.
• Experience operating through technical development cycles such as R&D, product development, testing, or validation.
• Strong judgment and decisiveness in ambiguous, high-stakes, safety-critical situations.
• Experience with incident response and risk management for high-severity events.
• Based in or willing to relocate to London; regular international travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous systems, robotics, automotive engineering, or aerospace.
• Background in a regulated or safety-critical industry.
