Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Remote

Pay range: $23.00–$29.00 per hour

What you will do

• Review documentation and process high-volume vendor invoices for approval and payment.
• Allocate purchases to customers, locations, and departments.
• Prepare weekly payments, distribute checks, and process electronic payments.
• Monitor vendor accounts, research payment issues, and respond to invoice and payment inquiries.
• Manage corporate credit card activity and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare annual Forms 1096 and 1099, support audits, reporting, and accounts payable improvement projects.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least two years of accounts payable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, organization, account reconciliation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment with strong persistence and follow-through.

Nice to have

• Experience with invoice automation or invoice capture systems.
