Software Development Engineer III – Front-End (AI-Powered UI Platform)

Base pay for Washington applicants: $164,652–$230,512.80 per year.

What you will do

• Own core subsystems of an AI-powered UI platform, including technical design, delivery, and improvement roadmaps.
• Build platform capabilities that translate DSL configurations and AI prompts into production-grade React and React Native components.
• Develop composable component primitives, reusable design systems, parsers, validators, and AST-based code-generation routines.
• Ensure generated interfaces meet design, security, accessibility, and cross-platform standards.
• Lead root-cause analyses, corrective actions, documentation, telemetry, and automated testing for platform systems.
• Partner with product managers and internal engineering customers while guiding junior engineers through technical reviews and mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience shipping production-grade web applications.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript expertise with deep hands-on React experience, including hooks, state management, component performance, and lifecycle patterns.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, reusable UI component libraries, developer tools, or shared front-end platform modules.
• Experience owning the technical design and end-to-end delivery of a system, library, or core feature.
• Understanding of responsive layouts, cross-browser compatibility, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, CI/CD, automated testing, root-cause analysis, and code reviews.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• React Native, generative AI or LLM APIs, prompt orchestration, or AI-assisted development experience.
• Exposure to compilers, ASTs, Babel or SWC plugins, and domain-specific languages.
• Experience with Vite, Webpack, Turborepo, monorepos, bundlers, Node, or AWS.
