Senior Front-End Engineer (AI-First)

Location: On-site in NYC, NY

Salary: $160,000–$230,000 USD per year

hirify.global is a seed-stage AI-native startup building an enterprise SaaS product for IT Service and Configuration Management using AI, graph-based architecture, and product design.

What you will do

• Own the front-end architecture for core product surfaces, including state management, data fetching, performance, and scalability.
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Design and evolve a shared component library and design system.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on REST, SSE, and GraphQL API contracts and data flows.
• Build realtime, streaming, and AI-driven user experiences with interactive components.
• Partner with Product and Design to deliver production-ready features and establish front-end engineering standards.

Requirements

• Several years of professional front-end engineering experience or equivalent experience building production applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, especially React and Next.js.
• Mastery of HTML, CSS, browser behavior, layout, performance, and component-based styling.
• Experience owning complex front-end systems and integrating REST, GraphQL, or streaming APIs.
• Experience with realtime, streaming, or AI-driven UI components.
• Strong product and UX instincts, code quality standards, testing, CI/CD, Git, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience building conversational or chat-based interfaces with streaming responses and complex client-side state.
• Ownership of a shared component library or design system.
• Experience with large-scale TypeScript codebases, performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser support.
• Experience in a fast-moving startup or AI-native product environment.
• Strong communication skills for explaining UI constraints, trade-offs, and architecture.
