Sr. Software Engineer, Frontend (React/TypeScript)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; in-person office attendance four days a week and one flexible workday

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant frontend interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Translate sourcing events, supplier evaluations, and negotiation stages into clear user interfaces.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor into daily engineering work.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define and consume APIs supporting real-time sourcing data and agentic workflows.
• Contribute to the component library and design system across a multi-product platform.
• Write unit and integration tests, review code, and resolve performance bottlenecks in data-intensive views.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern state management patterns.
• Demonstrated day-to-day use of AI coding assistants.
• Understanding of rendering behavior, bundle optimization, lazy loading, and caching strategies.
• Experience consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
• Familiarity with design systems, component-driven development, and communicating technical tradeoffs to non-engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building enterprise B2B products with complex data models or multi-step workflows.
• Exposure to AI/ML-powered product features, including streaming responses and model outputs in user interfaces.
• Familiarity with agentic systems or workflow automation platforms.
