Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Broomfield, Colorado, United States. Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the posting. Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, People's Republic of China and Russian nationals are excluded unless also U.S. citizens.

Salary: $112,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Promote and implement security processes and tools that enable scientists to work securely and efficiently.
• Apply security tools, processes, and policies to address organizational security goals.
• Collaborate with departments to understand workflows and reduce or remove security risks.
• Increase adoption and effective use of existing security tools.
• Develop key metrics to define and communicate the organization’s risk profile.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in cybersecurity areas such as SOC operations, risk management, penetration testing, incident response, assessments, or audits.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. Person status required, including U.S. citizenship, permanent residence or green card status, asylum, or refugee status.
• Must meet U.S. Government national security nationality requirements.
• Knowledge of software development and deployment, network architectures, systems security, and on-premises and cloud-based IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft M365, SIEM, firewalls, Azure, AWS, EPP, EDR, and network monitoring.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Security certifications such as ISC2, ISACA, CEH, or SANS.
• Experience in a technology startup and with small, efficient teams.
• Strong technical leadership, workflow design, documentation, and customer-service skills.
