Manufacturing Technician I (Nights)

Location: Decatur, TX, United States; onsite manufacturing work

Company

Production of graphite, silicon carbide, and other specialty materials from processed carbon billets and raw materials.

What you will do

• Operate manufacturing machines and equipment, including feeder hoppers, packer heads, air mills, remills, presses, forklifts, furnaces, and processing vessels.
• Process raw materials, green forming billets, and carbon billets for graphite and silicon carbide production.
• Perform quality checks throughout production and maintain accurate machine, output, and quality-control records.
• Identify minor equipment malfunctions, participate in routine and preventive maintenance, and help minimize downtime.
• Handle, store, and transport raw materials and finished products while maintaining product integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and product quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and follow SOPs and manufacturing guidelines.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment physical and lift or move up to 50 lbs.; the role also requires climbing ladders, standing, bending, kneeling, repetitive motions, and occasional work in confined spaces or varying environmental conditions.

Nice to have

• Mechanical or technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment.
