Summer 2027 State Product Analyst Intern - Personal Lines (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, Ohio, or Des Moines, Iowa

What you will do

• Gather and compile information from internal and external sources for State Management analysis.
• Extract and analyze data from business processes including pricing, underwriting, agency management, product distribution, and claims.
• Define data sets, sources, assumptions, and formats needed to explain findings and develop recommendations.
• Complete assigned analysis within established timelines and service standards.
• Provide technical support and communicate analysis outcomes to product managers and internal and external business partners.
• Participate in training classes, department meetings, and company meetings.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify underlying issues, develop alternative solutions, and select appropriate actions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to organize and present detailed analysis, prioritize work, learn quickly, take initiative, and work independently.
