Business Intelligence Engineer (Healthcare Data)

What you will do

• Build tested dbt models and SQL transformations that convert raw data into reliable datasets.
• Monitor replication and orchestrated pipelines, investigate data issues, and implement quality checks.
• Develop datasets and dashboards for internal reporting and client-facing analytics.
• Contribute to the version-controlled staging and marts layer, data tests, and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews while progressively taking on more ownership.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational data modeling.
• Experience developing production data pipelines and transformations.
• Ability to work with healthcare data and comfort in HIPAA-aware, PHI-handling environments is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, CDC or replication, and orchestration tools such as Estuary Flow, Debezium/Kafka, or Airflow.
• Exposure to cloud data warehouses such as Redshift and BI tools such as Sigma or Looker.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or a similar database.
