Project Engineer (Spector)

Location: On-site at the manufacturing partner's facility in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. Domestic and international travel of up to 15% is required.

Salary: $93,096.90–$117,922.55 annually, plus a bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Own the full delivery lifecycle of Spector ion-beam deposition systems from design release through factory acceptance testing and shipment.
• Coordinate engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and field service teams in a matrixed environment.
• Assess engineering, procurement, and manufacturing risks and execute mitigation plans.
• Lead weekly Engineering Change Order reviews and coordinate design-change implementation across contract manufacturers.
• Serve as the primary customer project contact and communicate technical milestones, status, and schedule changes.
• Report schedule variance, root causes, and corrective actions to operations leadership while improving build processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related engineering, or equivalent education and hands-on experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within manufacturing or capital equipment.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams through full build cycles of complex electromechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Ability to manage integrated schedules, critical-path risks, engineering changes, and revision control.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and communicate clearly with customers, suppliers, and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Bilingual ability in Mandarin Chinese or Japanese.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.
• CAD literacy with tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
