Voice Systems Technician - DOD (VoIP)

Location: On-site at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Remote/telework is not available. Shift work may be required for 24x7 operations. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually, depending on relevant experience, education, and certifications.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, install, migrate, and optimize enterprise voice and data communications solutions.
• Install, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair VSS/VoIP, LAN/WAN, PABX, intercom, public address, alarm, and telephone systems.
• Analyze VoIP networks and computer systems, troubleshoot network issues, and support servers, voicemail, and related equipment.
• Configure and sustain Land Mobile Radio systems and perform on-site program support.
• Implement unified communications capabilities and strengthen network security through hardening and protocol upgrades.
• Manage network users and permissions, train staff, and coordinate with IT managers and government customers.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Current DoD IAT Level II certification or higher, including CompTIA Security+ CE, required.
• At least five years of directly related experience and three years of general work history.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a VSS/VoIP Systems Analyst or Technician, including VSS/VoIP hardware, software, networks, and IP protocols.
• Ability to work shifts supporting 24x7 operations and familiarity with cybersecurity hardening and Land Mobile Radio configuration, deployment, and sustainment.

Nice to have

• Experience planning or managing VSS/VoIP operations in a real-time support environment.
• Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations, capturing technical knowledge, and training or certifying personnel.
• Project management skills and experience working with senior DoD or government customers.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions requiring personal judgment.
