Network & Systems Engineer (Juniper)

Location: New York, US only; onsite up to 5 days per week in Lower Manhattan, with after-hours escalations and scheduled maintenance windows

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, internet, data center, cloud, and remote connectivity.
• Own the Juniper and Junos environment, including upgrades, lifecycle management, and technical troubleshooting.
• Administer Cato Networks SASE, SD-WAN, secure remote access, and related security policies.
• Plan and execute network migrations, hardware upgrades, office infrastructure projects, and studio, conference room, and event connectivity.
• Support AWS, VMware, Windows and Linux infrastructure, identity and authentication systems, monitoring, logging, backups, and SaaS administration.
• Participate in on-call support, perform root-cause analysis, and develop automation using scripting, APIs, or infrastructure-as-code tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in network and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong production experience with Juniper networking technologies and Junos, plus Cisco and/or Meraki.
• Networking certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, CCNA, or CCNP.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing, wireless networking, packet capture, monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Experience with AWS VPCs, routing, VPNs, cloud connectivity, and broader systems administration.
• Ability to work onsite up to 5 days per week in Lower Manhattan and attend after-hours escalations and scheduled maintenance windows.

Nice to have

• Experience with SASE/SSE platforms such as Cato Networks, Zscaler, or Palo Alto Prisma Access.
• Juniper Mist, enterprise wireless, firewall, and network-security experience.
• VMware or other virtualization experience.
• Infrastructure automation with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience with Okta, enterprise SaaS infrastructure, or media, broadcast, and production environments.
