Supervisor, Drafting (Nuclear)

Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States; onsite role with less than 5% required travel.

Salary: $89,100–$118,800 per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and guide a team of drafting professionals as a working supervisor.
• Create and modify detailed mechanical and electrical drawings for complex components and assemblies using CAD/CAM tools.
• Support advanced power plant designs, including small modular reactors and existing nuclear power plants.
• Coordinate with engineers on model accuracy, design requirements, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR documentation.
• Perform drafting checks and contribute to the development of company drafting standards.
• Maintain drafting files, backups, and storage systems when required.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience.
• At least 1 year leading or managing a team of individual contributors.
• Experience with electronics and panel layouts.
• Engineering Technology diploma, associate degree, relevant certificates, equivalent education, or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD tools for engineering deliverables.
• Knowledge of engineering materials, fabrication processes, and design-for-manufacturing and assembly principles.

Nice to have

• Experience developing drafting standards.
• Equipment layout or panel design experience for end-user facilities.
