Senior Software Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Hybrid opportunity based in New Jersey, Atlanta, Chicago, or Dallas, United States

Salary: $73,150–$174,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodeBuild, or similar tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automate operational workflows.
• Administer Kubernetes EKS clusters and Docker-based workloads.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications using CloudWatch, New Relic, logging, alerting, and observability platforms.
• Improve scalability, availability, fault tolerance, security, and production reliability while supporting incident management and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, Route 53, load balancers, and CloudWatch.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, networking, cloud security, and cloud architecture.
• Experience troubleshooting production systems and supporting high-availability environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

Nice to have

• Experience with New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, GitOps, blue-green deployments, or canary deployments.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps-driven environments.
