Frontend Developer (React)

Location: San Diego, CA, United States; on-site attendance required at least 4 days per week

Salary: $90,000–$184,000 per year; disclosed pay ranges include $90,000–$150,000 and $114,000–$184,000 depending on experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Design, integrate, troubleshoot, test, deliver, and update frontend and integrated software solutions.
• Build and maintain UI components using React or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Develop frontend and backend features, integrate REST APIs and third-party services, and work with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Jenkins deployment pipelines and containerized applications.
• Configure, adapt, and validate software components in Kubernetes environments.
• Apply DoD and industry security, reliability, performance, configuration, and design standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, data science, cybersecurity, mathematics, aeronautical engineering, or an equivalent background.
• 3+ years of software development experience with significant experience in React or modern JavaScript, frontend frameworks, UI components, REST APIs, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git workflows, deployed-application logs, Python, SQL, relational databases, Linux command-line tools, file permissions, and third-party APIs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Ability to work from the San Diego office at least 4 days per week and travel up to 10% as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, NGINX, virtualization, containerized environments, or secure/restricted environments.
• Automation scripting with Groovy, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• DevSecOps, networking protocols, and VMware experience.
• Strong communication, documentation, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration skills.
